Royal Belum Valley Rainforest Reserve, a 5 hours drive from from KL..... A friend of mine has booked a 3D2N Boathouse Fishing Tour to the interior of Belum Valley for his company Year End Vacation 2011..... Hoe and myself joined him for the trip....
Look at my catch, a very young Toman.... where is the the biggie? Sigh.....!
Beautiful place it is.....
But, I only managed to catch young Tomans......
Another young guy......
Oh no! This is even smaller,.... Ahhhh where is the big Toman..... Come on, guys....!
A funny final tally for us..... Hoe landed no more than 6 Sebaraus and 0 Toman,... and as for myself, there was 0 Sebarau and 5 Tomans... Resulting to be Sebarau Hoe and Toman Loong??
Reaching there in the morning, and immediately loading goods on to the Boathouse at the Banding Jetty.....
Heading to the interior of The Royal Belum Rainforest Jungle....The boathouse cabin and the small stow away fishing boat.....
Malay food with potato curry and fresh vegetable.....Party beer - a neccessity
Mooring the Boathouse at a better location so that everyone can find their way back to the boathouse easily after fishing.....Hoe and I started our fishing right after lunch........
We had tried a few areas but it was not promissing.....
Hoe's first fish, a Jungle Perch or SEBARAU as the locals called it.....
Oh yes! a good size Giant Snakehead (Toman) for me...... Yeah!
Wow! Look at the heavily injured bait with teeth marks all over it....
There were no sign of any more fish after my last caught Toman...... We went back to the boathouse to get some rest... The next morning, we departed early right after a simple meal of breakfast...... Here we go.....
Easy job for Hoe, a morning kiss from a young Sebarau......
Oic! A second Sebarau.......
We went deeper to look for bigger fish,.... but the water rose so high resulting it hard to locate fishes. Most of the fishes had gone further into the flooded forest looking for food....Look at my catch, a very young Toman.... where is the the biggie? Sigh.....!
