2D1N in Air Kuning

While preparing to pick-up a guest from the Philippines, who came here for a 2D1N Peacock Bass fishing in Air Kuning....... I found a deep crack on my 4 X 4 Pajero tyre, luckly I noticed it first before it really burst during the trip........
The first day in Air Kuning Peacock Bass fishing ground.......... Due to the very dry and hot season now in this area....... you can even feel the heat in the morning. And the pond's water level has dropped a meter plus from the normal water level.........
It seems not a good sign for fishing......... Our guest Mr. Ueki only manage to land a small Peacock that morning......... There were plenty of short bites in the weed area but nothing caught.........
It's a small Peacock fry for me too......... Sighhhh..........
I even triad this hand made lure from my German friend, it's a jerk bait named DA-BAITS & TACKLE........ But no result made.......
Lunch time! Nasi Lemak with fried chicken - traditional Malay meal........The weather is really hot out there,........ we had to wait out until 3:30pm to continue our fishing game........ Man! It was like staying in an oven......... My first catch after lunch.............. Sigh....... a fry again......
Ohhhh!!! Here comes a good sized Peacock..........
Another good sized one........ it was 43cm after we measured it...... Good job! Ueki!.....
The fishes seems more aggressive in the evening time............ It's fun.... Yeah!!! Yeah!!! Look at my catches........ Beautiful colour isn't it?
Another catch for me......
Continued on the 2nd day............
We started by moving off at a different pond..........
A good start in the morning for Mr. Ueki in this pond, but that was just it..............
Ikan Temakang (Helostoma temminckki) a Green Kissing Gourami................
Small Toman........
Funny! We only manage to catch small fry in the morning, it was the same like yesterday..........
Finally, Mr. Ueki caught a decent size Belida a Feather Back ( Notopterus chitala ) that evening............
A Feather Back is rare to catch on lures....... Congratulation! Cheers!!
Going back to the move out point is a hard work in this dry season..............
