Fishing @ West Kalimantan

Back to Pontianak, West Kalimantan for another expedition with my local anglers Abas and Tedy.... Venturing to where they had found a new spot to explore this time....
First, we lugged around our 18 feet fibre boat on to the truck and transferred to where they had discovered the river.....
After a few hours drive from town we reached a small black water stream where we were going to launch our boats.....
Only a small Toman came for a fight today.....
Simple breakfast in the next morning....
And off we go in the early morning.....
My friend Kenny was so lucky to catch his trophy Tapah with a spoon that morning..... Congrats to him!!
Nice one!!!....
Lunch break at a small village along the river.....
A local dish serve with white rice, egg and fried chicken covered with spicy paste....
Yes!!! A good looking Ocellated Snakehead (Channa pleurophthalmus)...
And a Forest Snakehead (Channa lucius) too....
What a nice river covered with luscious bushes and woods.....
Nice!...
A nice and firm bite on my Inazuma spinner bait....
Caught a few decent Ocellated Snakehead (Channa pleurophthalmus) before we got back to town...
Although there was no big fish caught during this trip,... it was still a satisfactory trip for me anyway.... "Terima Kasih Pontianak!"....
