I Love Peacock Bassing

The last two weekend, friends and I went up to Air Kuning for some Peacock challenge....
Due to some heavy rain over the week before,.... the water rose to a very high level.....
Look! It even flooded the Oil Palm plantation......
Caught a small Haruan with my small sinking pencil.....
Plenty of small Peacock Basses were caught that morning.... But where is the big one?!...
Caught a few small Jelawats too (Sultan Fish - Leptobarbus hoevenii).....

Beautiful fish isn't it?!....
Wow! A good size Peacock for Kew..... Congrats to him, the first maiden Peacock Bass caught ever.....

The challenge continues a week later.....
As usual, we started in the early morning trying to pick up some activity when the lake is still calm...
The water level has dropped back to it's normal level, and the fish is quite aggressive..... Plenty of catches this weekend!...
Yes! A whopper for Hoe!....
Look at the head! It's huge!....
I've landed a good size too....
 A Toman landed.....
Look at it's tail, I wonder what cause this??..... A bite from a bigger predator???
 Thanks for reading....
