China Fishing 1.0

Yellow Cheek Carp (Elopichthys bambusa) which belong to Cypriniformes, Cyprinidae, of the Leuciscus subfamily..... Commonly known as: Huang Lian (黄脸), Yellow Diamond, Yellow Cheek Fish Pole, Freshwater Tigers, Large Mouth Yellow Ceek Carp and etc.... and It is a purely freshwater fish in China.

The sub-cylindrical long slender body, sharp pointed head, large mouth, a hard round prominence in front the lower jaw, and two pharyngeal hard teeth line with no sharp teeth, small eyes, small scales. small dorsal, brownish gray on the back, silvery white abdomen, cheek and the other fins yellowish...

Widely distributed in the rivers and lakes in China through out from North to South and even some part of Amur River, Russia..... The fish is fast growing with sexual maturity at 3-4 years age, some individual can grow up to maximum long of 2 meters and weighing over 60kg,... the adult fish spawn in the rivers and rapids from April to June.

The Yellow Cheek Carp, resembling the Torpedo, is a very strong swimmer, sexually violent, quick action, often attack and chase the other smaller fish... Once being pursuit it can hardly escape,..... this typical predatory fish due to it's natural behaviour of a predatory fish, which can swallow abundant of other economic fish, and is seen as a "harm fish" in aquaculture.

This aggressive predatory freshwater fish will attack most of the top water lures,.... you name it,
Popper, Pencil Bait, Swim Bait and etc.... but when the sun rose high I normally choose Minnow
Lures and Swim Bait,... sometimes even Spinnerbait. The most thrilling part is when the fish hit
the lure on the surface, splashing and bursting with a large sound.... a lightning long dash in the
beginning and stamina fight till the end makes this fish one of the most exotic game fish in the world.
Skygazer that was caught by swimbait...
