Dry Season in Air Kuning

Last weekend, Hoe & me went up to Air Kuning for a one & a half day video take on Peacock Bass Fishing.......Air Kuning is now it's driest season....... a lot of weeds are floating prominently at shallow places,
and a lot of bait fish can be seen hiding among the water plants...... So. we started aiming around the vicinity of the water plants......And this is our result......Even though in this very dry season, the theory is never wrong that finding the bait fish first will result in finding the predatory fish........Remember this, the big fish aways go after bait fish that hiding within the waters...... Water lilies at it's finest charm.......
After a day of fishing under the hot sun...... I managed to land 10 fish and 5 losses for the first day......Next day morning we returned to the same spot...... Saw a cobra snake swimming across the lake.....
It even got aggressive with us by showing its attacking stance when we got too near it for a snap.....
Even at the same spot, the result this morning was no where near yesterday's...... Only these small fishes entertained us.....
We noticed there are some schools of fries in the open waters. Upon closer inspection, we believed they are Peacock Basses..... So, I started to cast at the fries, SUDDENLY a big strike beneath the waters....... Ta..... Daaaa- A 40cm up mama Peacock Bass.....
A papa Peacock Bass caught in the same way too......We call it off in the afternoon...... with the result of total 5 fish landed..... On the way back, we found this bait fish Ikan Lohma on the top of the open water..... and It had the teeth mark at its tail, we believe it was attacked by Peacock Bass......
