Getting ready!

Getting ready for a trip of a lifetime to Ecuador of South America this weekend....... This trip was planned 6 months ago, back counting the date day by day now it's only 4 days left to the actual departure date...... So excited that I can't stop dreaming to catch the trophy fish there...... Ha Ha Ha, I am still pretty armature of it all......

To get there unprepared is vulnerable and unwise, at the risk that we don't know what will happen. At least consult with your doctor and get vaccination to the where you are going. For this trip, I have to get the Hepatitis A injection vaccine and a Malaria prevention pills. But I did not get the Yellow fever vaccine due to hard to find in Malaysia nowadays and the reason is that Yellow fever virus is no longer a threat in Malaysia and nobody bring in the vaccine due to zero demand....... Aaaaaaaaargh where can I get this??For the fishing gear....... I prepared myself as follow.......
Starting with PE lines 10lb, 20lb, 30lb, 40lb, 60lb, 80lb for main line and with the mono line for shock leader 30lb, 50lb, 80lb, 100lb, & 125lb...... I heard that the razor sharp teeth of the Piranhas can easily cut any kind of the lines that you use...... Scary! Of course, all the hooks on the lures need to change to a stronger hooks in the market, this time I prepared with all kinds of Owner's triple hooks from Japan........
When it comes to the lures that I will use, I will need at least 120mm long size and above to lure & trigger a bigger size monster fish in that region, and it led me to choose Rapala lure for my main weaponry and some from Heddon and Daiwa.........
I can't wait till the weekend....... (can't sleep well.... cause I really dream a lot. He He He.....)

Fishing in Malaysia - Temenggor Lake

Nowadays through the Internet, fishing activities has become more easier to find, locate & access. And fishing in Malaysia has slowly caught on with people all over the world for everyone who is interested to fish in the region...... Last weekend, we form a tour to Temenggor for a 3D2N trip. We have Frenchmen Vincent & Gilles, Chilean Alain, Austrian Patrick, and 3 friends from Japan - Masabou, Shinagawa, Asahina,..... finally our local Dennis and me.

We had some local delicacy at Ipoh while on the way to Gerik town....... Patrick showed how the hotel's key holder looked like when you hang it down there.......Hah!Off we go from the jetty of Temenggor Lake...... And everyone is so excited of the on coming
3-days fishing activity....... Go! Go! Go!Here is the Lodge where we are going to stay.......
After unloading our luggage from the boat, immediately we prepared to go out fishing......
Off we go......We headed South for a better fishing ground...... ( according to the locals )Cross my finger & hope for the best result.......
This time I am using my new casting gear from DAIWA ( 2020L Ryoga & 100HL Steez
with Ardito Rod 631MHFB & Steez Rod STZ651MLRBA-FL )........Beautiful day, the sun is just nice......not too hot.My first Toman on Nories lure- Laydown Minnow. And.... Coming up with my second Toman, and this look bigger......Gorgeous! 4 kgs+ Mama Toman. Close up......Bye bye........Due to the fishing ground is located at the far South of the lake, we decided not to have lunch .... and fishing till to the evening..... sigh! Ahhhhh..... I am starving........A big strike on 12mm Rapala Glidin' Rap.......... Cheer! 2kgs+ Sebarau......The original hooks that come with the lure were not strong enough to take the fight.....
The front hook was slightly straightened...... Can not imagine what will happen when a
bigger one comes...On the way back to the lodge I spotted a family of wild elephants....... noticed how small the male is......I wonder how he managed to consumate with the much bigger female???....Ha Ha Ha! Done for the first day...... Back at the lodge......
Dining and jetty area.....A twin sharing room.......... and it comes complete with a balcony.Steam boat for our dinner......Well, the 2kgs+ Sebarau became our dinner too...... Woke-up the next morning, saw these creepy crawlers at the corner of my bed.... Yucks!Today I teamed up with Patrick....... Our catches for the day........ Day 3, beautiful scenery.......The indigenous people......The other indigenous inhabitant........ Vincent was with me on the last day......Vincent caught a small Toman on his spinner bait........ The other catches from him.....Gilles in action.....Gilles' catches.......Dennis' catches......Shinagawa's catches......Catches from Asahina-san......... Well, there was one poor soul who caught nothing for the entire trip....... ( But he was the champion during the trip with Norio Tanabe at Royal Belum trip - North of Temenggor Lake
...... Ha Ha Ha! )

Our group picture..... Happy Hunting! Yeah!
